Donation Program

LifeLink Tissue Bank’s Birth Tissue Program offers a remarkable opportunity for expectant mothers to give the gift of life to others. Through the program, mothers can donate the umbilical cord and placental tissue after delivery, which can be transformed into tissue-based allografts for use as a protective covering or barrier for internal and external tissue defects. By participating in the Birth Tissue Program, mothers can make a meaningful contribution to society and help save lives in a way that costs them nothing.

At Lifelink Tissue Bank, the donation process is simple and easy, with trained staff available to guide donors through every step of the process. Donating birth tissue is completely safe and does not harm the mother or the baby in any way. In fact, the donation process is entirely non-invasive and occurs after the birth of the baby, meaning it does not interfere with the birthing process itself. By donating their birth tissue, mothers can make a difference in the lives of those in need, and help advance medical research and innovation. Join us in this noble cause and become a part of something bigger than yourself with LifeLink Tissue Bank’s Birth Tissue Program.
The Final Product
LifeLink Tissue Bank has helped transform the development of placental tissue allografts, also known as birth tissue or perinatal tissue allografts, through a proprietary, cutting-edge tissue processing method (RegeneCleanse®). This method preserves the extracellular matrix and regulatory proteins like growth factors*. These allografts can be stored at ambient temperature, rehydrate easily in saline, are gamma irradiated, and are validated to a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10-6.
